    Don’t you love Denmark?
Here (http://flickr.com/photos/pgautier/509869637/) is my 7 seater, 18 month old citroen c8. It is top of the range, 2.4litre, diesel, automatic lighting, washers come on with the rain, all windows have built-in kids’ sun visors. (Automatic was on offer for the same price but I don’t like it myself) – and that price???? Go on guess? Yes £13000.

  2. Thomas Says:

£13000 er 108.000 danske kroner. Biler er altså dyre i Danmark.

  3. Phyl Says:

Oh and it had done approx 16000km when I bought it.

    It’s unfair.

Then again – I’m actually in favor of the Danish taxes and attempts to keep driving at a minimum. But I’d rather have the taxes on the fuel to decrease the driving, than on the cars, since that only makes it more attractive to buy old and cheaper cars, eventhough they pollute more and are less safe to drive.

But it seems that we ends up with a Citroën as well. :)

Yes and given your crazy back seat rule in Denmark you end up with twice as many car journeys as necessary – when we Thomas and I go to Denmark – 2 people have to drive to the station to pick us up because they only have front seats – if we arrived here anyone could pick up 2 people in their car.
I know what you mean – Glasgow probably has 3 times as many cars as Copenhagen but the pollution in Copenhagen smells much worse because Copenhagen is full of ten year old+ cars – here we consider 4 years old for a car. Most people try to drive only 0-3 year old cars. Probably better for the environment.
